I just wanted to greet all of you before I start posting hockey stuff. Whether it be news or anything else along those lines.

The background story on me and hockey is that I lived in San Angelo, TX for most of my life and I watched the San Angelo team. They first started there in 1996 and they were part of the WPHL. Which some of you know, was the other league who merged with the CHL back in 2001. The WPHL included the San Angelo, Odessa, Lubbock, Austin, Bossier-Shreveport, and a few others I believe, but overall, they merger was very successful for both the fans of hockey and the CHL.

I was fortunate enough to watch hockey in San Angelo for 10 years. They had many good seasons and plenty on the other side of the fence to make you mad. I know that the Outlaw days will never be forgotten, but those Saints put in some good memories as well.

Over that 10 years, I didn't miss any games in San Angelo and I made most if not all the playoff games. The best run the San Angelo team ever had was in the 1998 when they headed into the WPHL Finals against the Mudbugs. Which they were swept in 4 games, but to me the whole damn series was a big joke. The Outlaws didn't cheat their way through the season, but the Mudbugs did by not following the salary cap that was stated in the league rules.

All in all, I loved watching hockey in Texas and the CHL only made it better. I still try to keep up with the CHL even though I have no CHL hockey around me, except for Austin, but that drive isn't worth it most of the time.

What you can expect from me in my blog is just news postings, my thoughts on playoff games going on right now, and I'll also speak about other leagues. Just to throw in some interesting stuff, oh yeah, I'm a big fight fan. So you should expect plenty of videos to keep you all entertained.
